Thanks for visiting the info page for the Dekalb Friday night mixed doubles round robin. For anyone who likes the idea of playing tennis on a Friday night then going out for drinks with a big group this is the round robin for you! We're talking fun people, beer & snacks, competitive but not too serious tennis, more beer, and a guaranteed good time. Please forward this to anyone you think would be a fun addition to the group! These have been popular enough that we are going to try and do them every other week! Thanks again to everyone who has let their friends and teammates know about them!
Details for the next Round Robin:
Friday May 10th.
Play runs from 7:00 to 9:15 but we will start checking people in at 6:30 so people are encouraged to come down early and have a drink, a snack, or to get some extra hitting in!
The cost is $20 and includes beer, snacks, water, and court fees. (Because beer is provided this is a 21 and over event!)
Play starts at 7:00 so please try and get there by 6:50 in order to check in so we can get everyone to the right place on time! If you are not there by 7:00 your place could be given to someone on the waitlist!
Space goes quickly for these events!
We will also have a couple courts of drills run by a pro at DTC and the cost will also be $20. The drills courts are there to help us if we have odd numbers at the Round Robin so even if you sign up for the drills court you may be used in the Round Robin if we have no-shows or last minute cancellations.
The Round Robin is focused on intermediate and advanced players. We simply have not had enough beginners sign up to ensure balanced play. If you regularly play ALTA, USTA, or Kswiss then you should feel free to come out but peopel who are just getting into tennis may feel a bit overwhelmed.
